"We had been touring for about five weeks.  This was the longest Raven and I had ever been separated, and it was very hard for me to take.   Just before she was to fly to Zurick to join me, I remarked that I never see ravens here, and I know there are most certainly ravens in Europe.  The next morning I looked out my window to see this flock!"

"A few days later my Raven joined me in Zurick.  Then we took a neat train trip to Luzern to join Francine and the guys for the next gig.   Looking out the train window and experiencing this beautiful country with Raven was like seeing it again for the first time.

We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto!

When we reached Luzern, we were dazzled by the blend of Old World and New.

You gotta love a city where a music store is called Musik Hug!

This is truly a place that allows you to point your camera in most any direction and get a cool photo.  You are never far from a view of Lake Luzern.

We stocked up on fruit and snacks for the trip to the next show, which would give Raven her first real taste of a real Alpine Village.

Next stop... the Alps!

As I said, just point your camera in most any direction...

No matter where you look, there are usually mountains continuing above where you look!

Lift tickets can be $150 per day and up, but they were just one of the many wonderful bonuses provided by the promoters and the locals.

Raven and I rode up to do some hiking and sight-seeing.

After being without her for five long weeks, she was just about the only sight I wanted to see!

But in fact, we soon learned that this ain't hiking country!

The best thing to do is make out in the lift car on the way down to the bar for a hot toddy!
