"In the pocket" is a term studio musicians use for tracks that have a perfect
feel and great dynamics, with each part fitting naturally with the others.
"Band
In The Pocket!"
has been purpose-built from the ground up, and mixed to provide a groove that
inspires heart-felt solos and jams.
"I
can't imagine a better Christmas gift for any musician!
Joannie Kelton, Texas Blues Magazine
Note: The artist
featured in the above You Tube is Don DePaola. Check out Don's fabulous CD here! http://cdbaby.com/cd/dondepaola
"Band
In The Pocket! #1"
the original version, is primarily Blues and contains eight extended "jam trax"
in different keys, styles and tempos, with a mixture of major and minor chord
changes, plus a track of tune-up notes.
"Band
In The Pocket! #2"
has a wider variety of Blues and Rock, with some Swing and Cajun Zydeco thrown
in!
"Band
In The Pocket! #3"
is Rock and Metal... heavier tones for heavier jams.
"Band
In The Pocket! #4
is a mix of Young Electric Country and Traditional Acoustic Bluegrass.
"Band
In The Pocket! #5"
is Jazz Flavors, some easy going, some more challenging, but all fun to jam!
"Band
In The Pocket! #6"
is called "Mo' Blues" - and it is! Blues remains the most popular genre
for jams, so we did a third Blues disk!
"Band
In The Pocket! for Bass" is just what
you'd assume - great jams, only you are the bass player.
"Band
In The Pocket! for Drummers - #1 and #2" are both mixed with drummers in mind - with the
bass pumping in your headphones!
All the CDs have lots of tracks, lots of variety! The tracks are each 5 to 6
minutes long! Handy "Tuning" tracks on the solo series and the one for
bass too!
Reading the accompanying booklet is like having a fellow band member talk you
through each song by providing an outline and showing chord changes. Novice
players will learn to listen for cues in each track, while learning to keep good
time and play with a strong, tight rhythm section. Seasoned professionals will
appreciate having an inspiring foundation on which to build new solos, or simply
enjoy ripping through their favorite riffs. NOTE: Larger format charts for all
the songs on all the CDs are now available FREE on each product page!

"A play along CD in a gear review? If it helps your playing as much as it
helped mine in just a couple of weeks, it most certainly qualifies as gear!"
